Jerry Levitan is a Toronto lawyer, certified as a Civil Litigation Specialist by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
He was called to the bar in 1981 and is the senior member of Levitan Lawyers. Jerry Levitan has handled a wide variety of cases from human rights issues, business disputes and constitutional challenges. He has and continues to handle cases which receive national attention.
In the early 1980's Jerry led the constitutional challenge against Sunday shopping laws on behalf of video and book stores. In more recent years, he has represented teachers of Ontario in their defamation suit against Mike Harris, Russell "Cashman" Oliver's defence against Time Warner, and the Kingsville students who were strip searched by their Vice Principal and teacher.
Jerry Levitan along with Gerry Solursh provide expert, and unparallelled legal assistance for those having liquor license disputes with the LLBO and AGCO.
