Levitan Lawyers provides expert, and unparalleled assistance for Canadian bar and restaurant owners having liquor license disputes with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and police charges..
Liquor license matters are constantly arising. Restaurant and bar owners are increasingly scrutinized and prosecuted by police and inspectors regarding a variety of issues surrounding their businesses. AGCO charges often result in provincial court suspensions or license termination - most obviously a serious loss for owners and their businesses.
Levitan Lawyers work exclusively with Gerry Solursh, a former board member of the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario and chartered accountant, to give unparalled service with a proven track record to bar and restaurant owners.
As a Board Member/Director of the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario from 1988 through 1995, Gerry Solursh chaired several hundred disciplinary and public interest hearings and reviewed numerous liquor licence applications.
From 1995 to 1998, Gerry was vice-chair of the Commercial Registration Appeal Tribunal which hears appeals made by Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations officials and other authorities responsible for licencing and registration.
Currently, Gerry represents restaurants, night clubs, and entertainment organizations in their interaction with the Alcohol and Gaming Commissions of Ontario, including consulting and representation on applications, at public interest or disciplinary hearings, and all matters relating to the Liquor License Act.
Gerry is a graduate of the University of Toronto and has been a practicing Chartered Accountant for 25 years.
